Update on the First Nations, Metis and Urban Aboriginal Early Childhood Development Initiative

The Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) has implemented a two-phased approach to the distribution of these funds for 2013/2014. Phase one provided funds for top up for existing contracts for Aboriginal Infant Development, Aboriginal Supported Development, Infant Development, Supported Child Development and Early Intervention Therapy Programs to address Aboriginal children and families identified on waitlists. These dollars will be directed towards service enhancements for the 2013/14 fiscal year that align with existing contracts. For more information regarding eligibility for Phase two funding, please contact your local Community Service Manager via MCFD.
